With an ever increasing changing and competitive digital landscape, the ability to quickly yet effectively understand the needs of your users', and to translate those needs into usable as well as engaging features and commercial streams has never been as important.
Spend the day with experts from one of Europe’s most sought after UX consultancies for startups, with a long track record of success working with startups and transforming ideas into viable and well thought through products.
“Fantastic teachers! I felt the workshop provided some great tools and learning that I can now apply to my every day work. I would highly recommend the workshop to anyone just starting out through to advanced practitioners.”Attendee, UX Design for Startups NYC 2016, June 2016
This full day workshop takes a hands-on approach to UX with a predominant emphasis on practical — less theoretical — group based design exercises. Working with others, you'll learn how to use straightforward UX design and research techniques to better understand your users’ needs, validate your design concepts, generate and facilitate communication, and make design decisions early on and fast.
Marko and Tin will introduce to you pragmatic UX approaches and insights around each key topic as well as showcase useful tools and techniques, supplemented by the hands-on design exercises — with plenty of time set aside for design critique and feedback. The exercises are designed to not only allow you to experiment, but to help you establish an effective blueprint for developing products further, while giving you the confidence to apply what you've learnt and improve the user experience of your own product(s).
- Design as a business strategy (design thinking, human-centered design)
- Understanding people’s needs (user interviews, customer journey mapping)
- Content and communication (controlled vocabulary, voice and tone, microcopy)
- Design sprints (benefits, methods, prototyping, lessons learned)
In conjunction with the above topics, you'll learn how to:
- Design with users in mind,
- Design on schedule and on budget,
- Make critical decisions fast,
- Work collaboratively,
- Validate concepts,
- Innovate successfully.
